County Line Road faces about a year without its bridge

Utility crews are moving lines ahead of the County Line Road bridge replacement. Once the crossing closes, Martin County Fire Rescue plans to station crews on the west side of the Loxahatchee River to maintain emergency coverage.
The 50-year-old crossing over the Loxahatchee River, including its pedestrian walkway, received a poor condition grade from the Florida Department of Transportation. Utilities are being relocated for a $7 million replacement, WPTV reports, with the road expected to close for about a year. Martin County expects work to begin this fall.
The new bridge would straighten the existing curve and improve stormwater management. Once the crossing shuts completely, Martin County Fire Rescue plans a temporary station on the west side to maintain emergency coverage.
How Busch Wildlife gets injured birds flying again
A 120-foot-long flight complex at Busch Wildlife Sanctuary in Jupiter Farms gives recovering birds room to build stamina and practice turns before release, WPTV reports. In its curved corridor, birds practice the turns they need to catch food and avoid predators.
When WPTV visited, staff were putting a young ibis through its paces so it could be released after a week of care.
The sanctuary’s public livestream offers a view inside the recovery rooms. Visitors cannot enter the complex because unfamiliar people can startle the birds. Cameras can show empty rooms while patients are resting or receiving care elsewhere.
Via Cameron’s September 1 water order was lifted
The clearance took effect at 9:03 a.m. September 4. It covers 1478 Via De La Palma; 1480, 1482, 1483, 1484, 1485, 1486 and 1488 Via Cameron; and 1605 S. U.S. 1, Building F.

Tickets for the 8 p.m. Erev Rosh Hashanah service September 11 are free through Temple Beth Am’s High Holy Days page. Children do not need a ticket. The service will also stream online.
On September 12, the children’s service runs from 3 to 4 p.m. for ages 0–5 and their families, with a free RSVP requested through the same page. Tashlich follows from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Ocean Cay Park, at Marcinski Road and A1A. That beach observance is free and open to the community.
