Fabricant Farms targets a year-end Jupiter opening
A Jupiter Farms opening takes shape, a shopping-center plan returns, and Saturday brings wildlife and a beach cleanup.
Fabricant Farms is taking shape on the former Taylor Farmhouse Cafe property, and the Shoppes site plan returns for a public hearing Tuesday. Saturday also brings interpreted wildlife programs and a free beach cleanup.
A new family-focused food and entertainment spot is taking shape at 16891 Jupiter Farms Road, on the 1.8-acre former Taylor Farmhouse Cafe property. Owner Tyler Fabricant is targeting an opening by the end of the year after construction began in March and followed roughly two years of county permitting. Renovation also includes a deck, more bathrooms and a septic replacement.
The first phase is planned around Fab Farms Cafe, a food truck and a live-music stage, with dinner Wednesday through Sunday. Fabricant hopes to add Tuesday dinner and introduce Sunday brunch early in the rollout. The menu is expected to include burgers, mac and cheese, steaks, fish, flatbreads and tacos. Former Taylor Farmhouse Cafe owner Chris Taylor is expected to help bring back some earlier recipes. A coffee shop, small market and ice cream shop are targeted for a later phase next year, with an arcade also under consideration.
Shoppes at Jupiter plan returns September 8
A proposed update to the Shoppes at Jupiter site plan returns for a public hearing on September 8 at 7 p.m. The hearing will be held in Council Chambers at the Municipal Complex, 210 Military Trail. The property is the roughly 24.92-acre shopping center at 101 N. US Highway One.
The amendment would revise building elevations, add an enclosed loading dock, modify permitted uses and reconfigure parking. The matter is filed as case PZ 25-6584 for owner RRF Shoppes Jupiter LLLP. Questions can go to Planning and Zoning contact Jenna Johnston at 561-741-2589.
ASL Family Day brings interpreted wildlife programs

Busch Wildlife Sanctuary is marking National Deaf Awareness Month with ASL Family Day from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday. An ASL interpreter will support the morning’s wildlife programming. The schedule includes Conservation Conversation at 10:15 and again at 11:30, plus Panthers on the Prowl at 11.

A free Saturday beach cleanup runs in Juno Beach

Loggerhead Marinelife Center runs a free self-guided beach cleanup every Saturday from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Participants check in at the Marine Debris Sorting Station, pick up the necessary cleanup materials, head to the beach, then return collected trash and materials afterward.
Registration is required, and supplies are limited. Participants should wear comfortable shoes, bring sunscreen and carry a reusable water bottle. Hobe Mountain's tower still has no reopening date
The Hobe Mountain observation tower at Jonathan Dickinson State Park remains closed. The park sits just north of Jupiter in Martin County, between Hobe Sound and Tequesta. The tower has been off limits since April 2024 after an engineering review raised safety concerns.
Gov. Ron DeSantis vetoed a $2 million state funding request for park repairs earlier this year. State Sen. Gayle Harrell and State Rep. John Snyder plan to seek funding again. The park remains open daily from 8 a.m. to sunset, and the Hobe Mountain boardwalk is open. Park concessions have been unavailable since June 30, including canoe, kayak and bicycle rentals and boat tours.
